The fest is over but here are some pictures...
Headquarters
Festival headquarters will be in the back room of the main lodge ( the building where the tram is folks). That's where you will register, buy your festival lift ticket and sign up for clinics. All festival participants must register and purchase the festival ticket (same price as regular Jay lift ticket). The ticket includes a complimentary beer ticket for adults.
The big question is.."If I already have a lift ticket how do I get a festival ticket?" The answer is...if you have a season's pass or some kind of special ticket or coupon you pay NET $20 and we will mark your ticket or pass. The good news is that that money can go towards buying raffles.
Demos- Most of the telemark companies will be represented and you will have a chance to demo the newest gear for free! If you are new to telemark and don't own any gear you might want to rent some gear for the day. The demo reps like to give everyone a chance to try their gear and generally don't want you taking the skis and boots out for more than a few runs. Rentals are available at the mountain ski rental shop and Firsttrax in Montgomery. NET will also have a small amount of gear available to never-evers without gear on a first-come-first-serve basis.. We should have a full size range of Garmont kids boots available to demo.
• Sponsors - At the heart of every great organization there must be a dedicated group of people. Along with our instructors and volunteers are our sponsors. Where would we be without them? They help us out financially but more than that, many of them are right there at the festivals with us, giving the public a chance to try out all the newest and best telemark gear. To them we have dedicated a 'sponsor page' with descriptions of their products and links to their web pages. All our thanks to Garmont, Backcountry Mag, Atomic, Black Diamond, Garmont, Karhu, Telemarkski.com, Backcountry.com, Outdoor Gear Exchange, Flylow, Totem Telemark, K2, Trab, Mahoosuc Mountain Sports, Rossignol, First Trax, TwentyTwo Design, Ragged Mountain, Teleboard, Telemarkdown.com, Peak Organic Brewing Company and Voile for their support.
Lessons - Most of our instructors are members of PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) and all are highly trained and motivated. We want our clinics to be fun most of all but to hopefully give you a chance to improve your skiing in an enjoyable, free spirited atmosphere. All clinics are 1 1/2 hours long and are free (with festival lift ticket)! Times will be once in the morning and once in the afternoon. The morning clinics begin at 10:30 and the afternoon clinics 1:30.
Special clinics will include;
• Clinics for all abilities, including 'never-evers'.
Crossover clinics for alpine skiers coming to Telemark.
• Kids Clinics.
Women's Clinics. Women teaching women. Some of NET's top women instructors will be leading clinics.
• A telemark clinic taught in Frence for our French speaking Canadian friends. The French Connection": cliniques en français. Natalie et Sébastien offriront des cliniques en français, de niveau débutant à avancé.
Masters Clinics. Taught by our educational staff including Mickey Stone, Paul Smith and John Tidd, all PSIA examiners, this is the clinic for the master skier.
Events- The Fifth Annual Radical Terrain Bash* will be taking place Saturday, 12:30.
*(Conditions pending)
Prizes/Raffles - Prizes and raffles include bindings, skis, products from Garmont, Voile and much more.
There will be a Telemarkeast.com raffle for a $50 gift certificate to Backcountry.com.
Tickets -Ticket prices will be announced once Jay knows what their price will be. Be sure to come to our headquarters, upstairs in the main lodge to buy your ticket. Season pass holders must pay an additional $20 for the fest but that can be put towards the gear raffle. The same goes for all special coupons, senior tickets etc. All extra charges can go towards the raffle.

"The Tramway wasn't moving, nor was the Green Mountain Express, lots of snow had blown into the glades, but the 9-11 inches of powder on top of man made, made for some very good skiing early into the season. New England Telemark, most of whom are PSIA instructors, had the full attention of their classes, evidenced by big grins and snaking lines of laughing telemarkers. My Gawd, what a concept, students having a great time learning! Teachers having a blast teaching, mind boggling!!! Not only that but the party.....give aways, skis, bindings, and tons of other stuff. The beer was cold the atmosphere hot and a wonderful time was had by all. Next up, New Hampshire Tele Fest At Cannon and hope to see even more attend. Teleman "
